If you would like a personal or small business website – give me a shout.
I really love designing websites, it has become a hobby of mine. A small web site consisting of 3 pages will only cost you R350.00
Hosting packages start from R20.00 per month and there are many options to choose from.
The following surnames have been added to the Family Tree - Weeber, Kinear, de Jager, Potgieter.
It seems as if I am also a descendant of Louis of Bengal (India) which would explain my love of curry and hot spicy food.
If anyone has more info regarding the Weeber and Kinear family, I would appreciate the help.
I eventually got the Norval database sorted out on the Online Family Tree.
John Norval (snr) , Archibald Joseph Norval and William Norval are now listed as brothers, with John Norval (jnr) listed as the son of John (snr)
My next mission is to sort out the “de Wit” side of the family, which icludes the surnames “Kinear” and “Weeber”.
After that I will be looking at my wife’s side of the family namely “Maritz” and “Smith”, so if you have any info on these families please contact me.
I have eventually, after a few years of searching found my Botes ancestors – man what a feeling
I have added the names to the “online Family Tree” and they go back in time to Anthonie Botes born 11 September 1740 in the Netherlands.
Huge thank you to Alison for the info.
I have been updating and changing the website to hopefully make it more user friendly. Please, if you have any problems contact me henry@norval-family.co.za
I have also found more history on my Botes ancestors.
There are also photographs and scanned images of documents under Botes and Norval genealogy sections, but you have to create an account to view these.
There is a section on the norval-family website where I post all the scam and phishing emails I receive. Please people be aware of these and don’t get caught!!!
I also have plenty of email address’s that I can supply at “norval-family.co.za” and “norval.co.za”
so your email address wil be “yourname@norval-family.co.za” or “yourname@norval.co.za“
I would also appreciate donations to help keep this domain up and running, if you would like to make a donation please contact me.
I also enjoy designing websites for individuals or small companies. I can provide really affordable hosting for your website as well. So if you currently have a website host – contact me to see if we can provide a less expensive solution.
In 1817 the three brothers Archibald, William and John( snr) came to the Cape as part of the Benjamin Moodie Settlers. John (snr) also brought his son John (jnr). They arrived on the ship “Brilliant” on 14 June 1817.
Does anyone have any information of what happened to William Norval ?
